Synopsis:

This year, ISOT still aims to raise the awareness of how important a sustainable tourism is, but emphasizing more on how higher tourism education have a very big role in order to make it happens. The conference held from 10 to 12 October 2016 in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Building Nu’man Soemantri. Whilst basic tourism education teaches the standard of tourism industry, the higher one teaches how the long-term plan and design of a tourism destination could be eco-friendly and sustainable to the next generations. So this seminar’s goals are; to strengthen the cooperation and implementation of integrated program between ASEAN countries in building sustainable tourism, and put a standard for development in regional level, the qualification of tourism bachelor based on higher education’s research.

3rd IHTC 2016
The International Hospitality and Tourism Conference are brought to Bandung by Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia. Their International Seminar picked, “Heritage, Culture and Society: Research Agenda and Best Practices in Hospitality & Tourism Industry” as its theme.

PAPER THEMES & PUBLICATION
All of the accepted papers will be indexed internationally by Scopus and published by Taylor & Francis in our 3rd IHTC & 2nd ISOT 2016 Proceeding. These papers should be following at least one of these themes:

Program Studi Kepariwisataan UPI kembali menggelar 2nd International Seminar On Tourism yang bekerja sama dengan Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia, pada 10-12 Oktober 2016.

“Saat ini pariwisata menjadi tulang punggung devisa yang digunakan bagi pembangunan negaranya di berbagai belahan dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Adanya kesadaran akan urgensi pembangunan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan menjadi perhatian para stakeholder dan para akademisi pendidikan tinggi pariwisata, yang dituangkan dalam berbagai penelitian dan pengalamannya secara profesional yang diformulasikan dalam “Internasional Seminar on Tourism(ISOT) ke 2 dan International Hospitality & Tourism Conference (IHTC) ke 3”, ujar Prof. H. Furqon, M.A., Ph.D., Rektor Universitas PendidikanIndonesia.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Prof. Dr. Mohd Salehuddin Mohd Zahari ketua panitia dari Universiti tenologi MARA Malaysia memaparkan, “Saya kagum akan keragaman sumber daya alam dan budaya manusia di Indonesia.  Kami sangat gembira dapat bekerjasama dengan UPI untuk berbagi  pengalaman dan pengetahuan berbasis penelitian dalam bidang pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini akan menjadi platform pembangunan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan di Asia dan dunia”.
